Now that Alex is finished teething for a while, he's sleeping really well at night -- either wakes only once, or not at all. Depending on how many naps he's had during the day, he goes to bed between 8 and 10 p.m. and wakes up between 5 and 7 a.m.
Alex poses on his new trundle bed.
| Napping. Alex refuses to have blankets on him, so at night we just bundle him up really good in some warm, fuzzy pajamas. |
I thought it would be fun to take an inventory of the words Alex can say. So far, his most used and identifiable words are "uh-oh," "hi," "bye," "ok," and "tattoo." I thought I heard him say "yeah" the other day as well. Some other words he can say that require a bit of parental translation are "peekaboo," "thank you," "gentle," and "refill." Matt says he calls the dog "Boo." And, of course, how could we forget? -- He says "Mama" and "Papa," too.
For the past couple weeks, we've been working on redesigning Alex's Web site so it will be something that grows with him over the years. The month-by-month narratives worked well when he was smaller, but are difficult to maintain now -- mostly because he changes so quickly. With this new system, we will be giving smaller but much more frequent updates, and both Matt and Leanne will be contributing (And maybe Alex too when he gets big enough to type a word or two). Don't worry; all the old pictures are still in the archive.
