There's some construction workers replacing a storm drain system directly next to our apartment building. Alex spends quite a lot of time staring out the window watching them and their equipment as they move in and out of his view. He keeps up a running monologue that goes something like this:
Oooo, trucks!!! Trucks, Mama, trucks!
Look, digger, Mama! Digger!
Oooo! Look, it goes! I see you, digger.
Uh-oh, trucks all gone. Mama, trucks all gone.
Digger gone. Buh-bye, digger. Digger all gone.
Good job, digger!
